in-DEXABLE Miter Sled w/ Drop Zone
Woodpeckers in-DEXABLE Miter Sled combines the support advantages of a cut-off sled with the angular capabilities of a miter gauge. Sleds handle both large and small workpieces more efficiently. Instead of sliding your work across the table, the sled is against the table. This reduces friction and virtually eliminates the chance that the workpiece will slip sideways during the cut. But the typical crosscut sled is set up for just one thing…square cuts. The in-DEXABLE Miter Sled marries the locked-in angle accuracy of our in-DEXABLE Miter Gauge with the rock-solid support of a sled.
The in-DEXABLE protractor head and fence system give you the capability to cut accurately at any angle and make as many cuts as you need to exactly the same length. One simple button precisely sets the angles for common polygon miters and square. Just press the button and turn the protractor. The tapered pin locates your angle precisely and holds it while you tighten the handle. For all other angles there's a laser-engraved hairline on a crystal-clear acrylic window. Just align laser-line to laser-line and you'll get a perfect angle.

Graduated fence with extension. The heavily-ribbed extruded fence carries the stop out to 18" when closed or up to 31" when fully extended. When you need the fence extended, you still have a built-in scale. Just lock the stop on the "EXT" mark and set your dimension on the extension bar.
All New Micro-Adjustable Flip Stop Re-designed from the inside out, this new flip-stop is rock-solid when locked. The adjustment is smooth and fluid with minimal backlash. A spur fits back into the fence so mitered ends can't lift the stop. This stop is fully compatible with the Exact-90 Miter Gauge, too.
The foundation of any miter gauge or sled is the bar that fits the slot in your table saw, and Woodpeckers patented leaf-spring miter bar can't be matched. The nylon leaf springs in the edge of the bar automatically adjust to compensate for slots that are poorly machined or worn from thousands of hours of repetitive use.
The sled attaches to the miter bar with 3 socket-head cap screws riding in milled slots. The slots give the sled an adjustment range that covers just about every table saw ever made. Best of all, the adjustments are all made from above. You can tweak the sled into perfect alignment with your saw blade and lock it securely without ever removing it from the table saw. We machine the sled from 1/2" Baltic Birch plywood that has a black micro-dot laminate on both sides. It's flat, stable and low-friction.
By the numbers. The table of the in-DEXABLE Miter Sled measures 15" x 15". The miter bar is 3/8" x 3/4" x 18-1/2". With most 10" table saws you'll have 22" of cross-cut capacity. The positive stops on the miter head are for 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 12 sided objects (60°, 45°, 36°, 30°, 22-1/2° and 15°). The Drop Zone cut-off catch table measures 8" x 15". One sacrificial end-block is included.
Like all Woodpeckers products, the in-DEXABLE Miter Sled is precisely machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility (just south of Cleveland).
