GRR-RIPPER Advanced

GRR-RIPPER Advanced
ITEM #:GRIPPER-ADVANCED-GROUP
The GRR-RIPPER is a push block on steroids. It significantly increases the amount of surface area gripping your work piece. A typical push block rests on the piece between the saw blade and fence. The GRR-RIPPER is actually two blocks in one. It's split to straddle the blade and grab both pieces simultaneously. So now it's easier to rip thin strips (1/4” or larger) and also support the original piece.

Details

The versatility of this tool makes it easy to use on router tables as well. In fact, it seems to include every feature imaginable that one might want in a push block.

Good investment if you value safety.

By adding the optional MJ GRR-RIPPER Handle Bridge Set you will minimize the need to adjust the handle whenever you alter your wood cutting operation.

The differences between the GRR-RIPPER Standard (GR-100) and the GRR-RIPPER Advanced (GR-200) are that the Stabilizing Plate and the Adjustable Spacer are only found on the GRR-RIPPER Advanced (GR-200) model . These 2 pieces perform the following functions:

The Adjustable Spacer - This accessory adds increased gripping surface for tackling larger stock. It also adds one inch of cutting width to the GRR-Ripper. Also, acts as a secondary balance support for small stock and straight-line ripping. Great add-on for working on the Router Table, and eliminating snipe.

The Stabilizing Plate - The Stabilizing Plate adds a new dimension of control to the GRR-Ripper. It is particularly useful when cutting small narrow pieces of stock. Perfect for trickier cuts like resawing, bevel edging, pattern routing, and much more. The Stabilizing Plate also performs as the secondary fence that travels with the GRR-Ripper along the left side of the stock. It holds the off-cut piece in its original position through the entire cutting operation. Some users call it a “Feather Board Plate” without the force to pinch the stock into the saw blade.
