Carbide Tipped Double Bearing Chamfer Bit, 1/2" Shank
Ultra-Shear 1/2" Shank Carbide-Tipped Chamfer Bits shape the edges of your projects in 4 different angles. While 45° is the "standard" chamfer angle, you can create more visual interest with both steeper and flatter angles. Plus, you can combine different angles and depths on the two sides of a board to create custom molded profiles. But breaking edges and creating decorative profiles are just the beginning of the story. You can also machine perfect fitting miter joints for 8-, 6-, 4- and 3-sided boxes using the chamfer bits (22-1/2°, 30°, 45° and 60° bevel angles).

Now you can mill perfect miters every time with your router table…instead of struggling to get the correct angle on your table saw or miter saw. The angle accuracy is precision ground right into the tooling. Just keep your work flat on the table and tight against the fence and you'll create perfect miters.
The twin bearings on each bit make it simple to cut consistent chamfers on both straight and curved edges. They work equally well in a router table or a hand-held router.
We make similar bits in 1/4" shank. The biggest difference is in maximum thickness for miter joints. The 1/4" bits are limited to stock about 3/8" thick, where the 1/2" shank bits go up to a maximum of 3/4" (60° has a maximum of 5/8").
Don’t settle for inferior quality imported bits to save money. Ultra-Shear uses state-of-the-art CNC grinding equipment, the highest quality nano-grain carbide tips, ultra-fine grinding wheels and skilled Northeast Ohio machinists to produce American-made router bits at extremely competitive prices. The days of paying extra for middle-man markups are over. Buy direct from the manufacturer and pocket the savings. We’re confident you won’t find an American-made bit of the same design for less.
