Ultra-Shear 1/4" Shank Carbide-Tipped Chamfer Bits create a variety of softened edge looks for your projects. While 45° is the established standard, you can create visual interest with both steeper and flatter angles. The 1/4" shank lets you use these bits in just about any router made, from compact cordless trim routers to the hefty 3 hp monsters. Twin pilot-bearings provide consistent cuts even along curved edges. And, at 3/8" diameter, the bearings keep your profile consistent on inside curves as small as 3/16" radius. We offer the same profiles in 2-flute and 3-flute versions. The 2-flute versions perform well and save you some money. The 3-flute versions provide more cuts per inch…or you can speed the job up with an increased feed rate and maintain the same CPI. The chamfer bits come in 22-1/2°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 67-1/2° bevel angles.
