Limba (Terminalia superba), native to tropical Western Africa, typically has a yellowish to golden brown heartwood, but it can sometimes possess a darker figuring of streaks ranging from grey to black. The more yellowy appearance of Limba is referred to as “White Limba,” while the name “Black Limba” is given to the dark streak figuring. This selection we’ve made available has a variety of premium boards that can contain both “White” and “Black” Limba. The wood is easy to work and it glues and finishes well.
Wood is a natural product, and pieces may vary slightly. Due to wood movement, shrinkage, and expansion, please measure each piece carefully. Dimensioned within +/-1/8” of size listed.
