Woodsmith Shaker Box Standard Plan & Premium Shop Drawings
Traditionally, Shaker boxes were oval containers made from thin, bent strips of hardwood. They were predominantly used in the kitchen to store dry foods like flour, or in the workshop to store small items. While they may not be the ideal choice for food storage today, they’re still great for holding small items, or simply displaying on a shelf.
You can purchase the Woodsmith Shaker Boxes standard plan or the supplemental premium shop drawings as a downloadable PDF or in a printed format that we ship to you. We highly recommend purchasing both the standard plan and the supplemental premium shop drawings for more in-depth instructions and greater detail.
If you’ve ever wanted to try steam bending, Shaker boxes are a great project to start with. And we’ve added a couple of our own design touches to this classic form.
