Bench Rule SS
The size and features of Woodpeckers Bench Rule SS inspire confidence when undertaking larger projects. The 1-3/4" wide blade handles easily and stays where you put it when working on sheet goods. The sliding stop makes repetitive marking a breeze and then doubles as a stand to keep the rule upright when using the end graduations for machinery set up. You can get the Bench Rule SS in three lengths, 12", 18" and 24". Each length is available with inch graduations on both edges or with inch on one side and metric on the other.
Rigid Rules with Parallel Scribing Features
Let’s take a closer look at the stop. Using it for repetitive marking doesn’t need much explanation, but we built in an extra feature that takes it up a notch, literally. Set the edge of the stop at your chosen dimension, place the tip of a pencil in the specially milled notch in the end of the rule. The notch aligns the center of the pencil to the end of the rule and keeps it aligned as you slide along the edge of your stock. Now you can scribe a line perfectly parallel with the edge of your board at exactly the dimension you set.
Now, slip the stop off the end, slip it through the cut-out and you’ve got a stand that holds your rule perfectly upright while you adjust the height of a router bit, saw blade or drill bit using the end graduations.
For furniture and cabinet work, the large size of the Bench Rules makes them a pleasure to use. The blades are 1-3/4" wide with laser-engraved scales accurate to .004" total accumulated error over the entire length of the rule. The 1/16" thick stainless steel blades undergo a special finishing process to give them a non-glare satin finish and the deep, dark engraving will never wear off.
Bench Rules SS are available individually, or you can order all three as a set. The set comes with a custom-designed Woodpeckers Rack-It to keep your Bench Rules right in plain sight and always ready to go to work.
Like all Woodpeckers products, the Bench Rules SS are precisely machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio facility (just south of Cleveland).
