Ultra-Shear’s updated 2.0 versions of our American-made Ultimate Stacked Dado Sets offer you superior performance and choices you simply don't get with other premium dado sets. Instead of the typical 2- or 4-tooth chippers, our new dado sets feature a set of precisely ground 12-tooth chippers with a 5° positive hook angle, giving you the smoothest, flattest dado possible. Not only does the positive hook of the chippers cut smoothly, it also counter-acts the negative hook of the outside blades, reducing feed resistance.
To deliver better performance in brake-equipped saws, the chippers (except the 1/16") in the new 2.0 versions look something like a bicycle front sprocket, with the bulk of the material removed to reduce weight, while maintaining strength. This results in a 2.85 lb. weight reduction from the original Ultimate Stack Dado Set.

To complement these unique chippers, you have your choice of two different styles of outside blades. Both feature 24 teeth with a 5° negative hook. The Ultimate Stack Set uses the typical beveled teeth that score your material and eliminate chipping and tear-out...perfect for plywood. The Flat Top Set uses a chisel-tooth configuration to deliver perfectly square shoulders without the "bat ears" you get from scoring blades. If all your dado work is blind, the Ultimate Stack Set makes sense. If you do a lot of exposed joinery, the Flat Top Set is the way to go. If you do both, our third option is our Deluxe Set which includes one set of chippers with both styles of outside blades.

You get the 1/4" chipper, two 1/8" chippers and a 1/16" chipper. When you need a minor adjustment, our magnetic shims stay in place as you install your blades, unlike paper or plastic shims.
