When you're machining an opening that needs a smooth transition from sidewall to bottom, these are the bits you've been searching for. Ultra-Shear Cove Nose Bits function similarly to our bowl bits, but their smaller diameters let you create more detail and their generous cut-length lets you make deeper recesses. While these bits are most often used on a CNC, they work perfectly in hand-held routers and router tables, too. We offer them in 1/2" diameter with 1-1/4" cut length and corner radii of 1/16", 3/32" and 1/8". And in 1/4" diameter with 3/4" cut length and corner radii of 1/64", 1/32" and 1/16".

The up-cut flute design pulls the chips out of the opening quickly and cleanly, leaving a flat bottom (beyond the radius) and a clean sidewall.
