2-Flute Carbide Tipped Flat Bottom Juice Groove Router Bits
Our New Ultra-Shear Carbide-Tipped Juice Groove Bits present three new profiles not found in our other juice groove bits. These bits feature a 1/2" wide groove with a flat bottom and a small radius at the lower edges. The three different bits have radii of 1/8", 5/32" and 3/16". The upper edge is also softened with a radius to make sanding easier and facilitate juices running into the groove. The flat bottom of these new bits delivers the utility of a juice groove while not detracting from a carefully designed geometric pattern or stunning natural grain. They're also an excellent choice for thinner boards where a deep juice groove is out of proportion.

We've made a special template guide bushing that's 1" outside diameter and 7/32” long. To make a template, simply shape a piece of 1/4" material 1" narrower than where you want the center of your groove and stick it to your board with double-faced tape. Keep the template guide bushing against the edge of the template and move counter-clockwise around the template. It's that easy. Our special template guide bushing fits any router base that accepts Porter-Cable style guide bushings. If you want to use a cordless palm router, our StabilMax Trim Router Base accepts standard P-C guide bushings and gives you a more balanced footing than the OEM base plate.
