1/4" Diameter Solid Carbide Spiral Router Bits, 2-Flute, 1/4" Shank Open Box

Spiral bits deliver smoother cuts, because some part of the bit is always in contact with your material, where brazed bits have an interrupted cut. These 1/4" bits are perfect for grooves, dados rabbets and mortises. The 1/4" shank gives you the flexibility to use them in smaller routers. The range includes cutting lengths of 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 1-3/4". The 1-1/4" has an overall length of 3". The 1-1/2" and 1-3/4"cut length have overall lengths 3-1/2". The long shank and extended cut length excel at deep mortising jobs, particularly when used in a CNC or horizontal router system like Multi-Router or PantoRouter. Always use the shortest cut length needed for whatever cut you're making.

Up-Cut or Down-Cut? Up-Cut bits pull the chips out of the kerf more effectively. They’re a great choice for dados, slotting and full-edge cutting in solid wood. Down-Cut bits slice down into the material so surface fibers don’t get lifted. This is particularly important on cabinet grade plywood. A Down-Cut bit will give you a super clean edge in even the thinnest surface veneers.
