If you're engraving dense materials with a CNC, you'll want to take a look at the 3-flute engraving bits in 40°, 50°,60° and 90° angles. The 3-flute design delivers more cuts per inch at any given feed rate, which means you can crank up the feed rate by 50% and still get the same finish you see with typical 2-flute bits. The shear angle used also handles dense materials…like tropical hardwoods and plastics…beautifully.
The profile images in the photo carousel show you the tip and angle combinations available. All the bits are equally at home in a CNC, with template guides or for freehand engraving. The bits most often used for freehand work are indicated in their product photos.
