Purpleheart
Purpleheart (Peltogyne spp) is prized for the beautiful heartwood which is a rich purple color. A dense wood that is perfect for every project from musical instruments to turning, box making to furniture. Native to South America. The grain is usually very straight, takes a great finish. Lacquer is recommended with a UV inhibitor to keep the rich purple color.
