Each Woodpecker T-Square consists of a precisely machined, laser engraved aluminum blade perfectly fitted to a solid, billet handle with two support lips to prevent tipping and a perfectly machined edge for true squaring. In an instant, you can move your pencil anywhere off the edge of your stock to 12”, 24”, 32” or anywhere in between and be dead-on without the need of a tape measure.

The two critical parts are secured together with either 4 or 6 precision socket screws, depending on which blade length you choose.  A slight offset between the screw holes in the blade and the screw holes in the handle allow for the two to be under constant tension by the precision screws. This arrangement delivers top notch performance yet still allows for replacement of the blade if it is damaged.

The blade itself has precisely spaced 1MM holes drilled every 1/16”.  Stick a pencil in the hole, slide it along your work piece and presto, a perfectly spaced line, accurately following the edge of your stock. The outer edges are machined to a 30 degree bevel, putting the scale markings right down next to your stock, where you need them. The scales are laser engraved to a tolerance of .004". The white engraving on our famous “Woodpeckers Red” anodized finish delivers a very readable contrast, even for older eyes or poor lighting conditions. Additional ¼” holes are machined on exact 1” centers for marking shelf pin locations. Each T-Square comes in its own custom fitted, wooden, wall mountable case so you can be sure it's safely stored yet always in sight.

4 different sizes are available, 12”, 24”, 600mm and 32”. The 12” size is ideal for work with solid lumber and smaller cabinet parts. The 24”, 600mm and 32” are better suited for work with sheet goods, larger cabinet parts, entertainment centers and bookcases.

Like all Woodpeckers products, these T-squares are proudly machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, OH facility, just south of Cleveland.

Squares - FAQ

Q: My T-Square is not square, is something wrong with it?

A: On the TS-12-2, TS-24-2, TS-32-2, and TS-600MM our angle tolerance for the assembled T-square's 90 degree angles are +/- .020 degrees per 12 inches.  If your T-Square does not meet this tolerance, please contact our Customer Service Department at 440-238-1918 Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm EST or email us at to get a repair started for your tool.

Q: What is the difference between the Aluminum and Stainless Steel squares besides material?

A: The biggest difference besides the material the squares are made out of is the marking holes that are milled into the stainless steel squares that are not milled in the aluminum versions.  These holes allow for marking layout lines for projects. The Stainless Steel Square blade is approximately 1/16” in thickness where the Aluminum blade is approximately ⅛”.  The thinner blade and the marking holes along the blade of the Stainless Steel Square allows for it to be better used for lay out lines.  The thicker blade of the Aluminum Square is better suited for making sure work pieces are perpendicular to each other.

Q: How accurate are your squares compared to others on the market?

A: Our squares are milled and inspected to be within tolerances of .001” per foot or .0085°.
