Machinery set up at obtuse (outside) angles usually involves a lot of trial and error. Miter squares with short blades, table inserts that are fractionally lower than the table surface, and bevel squares with large radius ends are just some of the demons that put the "error" in "trial and error". Even finding a physical reference for any angle other than 45° can be a challenge and adjustable miter setting devices require careful calibration and keen eyesight to see those fine angle graduations. When setting miter saws or table saw miter gauges, your gauge needs to be horizontal. Traditional squares and bevel gauges have a thick base, won't sit flat and will topple unless held in place. Conversely, a thin blade on a flat table can cause error by resting against rounded fence edges and uneven table inserts. Poly-Gauge SS takes care of both issues by raising the reference edges 9/32" above the machine surface with a flat base while leaving both of your hands free to dial in that perfect equipment setup.
Take that exact same physical reference to other machinery for repeatable results, every time. The Poly-Gauge SS can stand upright for aligning your table saw blade or jointer fence. The multi-function knob doubles as a tool stand, housing two powerful rare earth magnets that secure the tool upright on steel machine tops. Again, allowing you to make critical equipment adjustments with both hands free while the plastic liner in the magnetic knob keeps the blade perfectly perpendicular and protected from scratches.
The Poly-Gauge SS is laser cut from 1/16" thick high quality stainless steel, then the edges are precision milled on high-speed CNC equipment. Simply align your blade or fence to one of the five most commonly-used polygon angles: 45⁰ for squares, 54⁰ for pentagons, 60⁰ for hexagons, 67.5⁰ for octagons, or 75⁰ for 12-sided dodecagons. Icons for each shape are laser cut into the blade to visually confirm you're using the correct angle.
