Typical trammel points mark circles far beyond the reach of a normal divider-style compass. The axis point and marking point attach to the same long arm allowing you to layout huge sweeping arcs. You can buy trammel points that will attach to any normal straight edge, but Woodpeckers customers expect more from our OneTIME Tool® product developers, and this set certainly does not disappoint. With a variety of indexing and marking features and three lengths of beam, Woodpeckers Deluxe Trammel System draws arcs with either a steel scribe or a mechanical pencil, checks diagonals on drawers and boxes, measures the distance between circular holes, and becomes a long-reaching marking gauge. And, the whole kit and kaboodle stores in an MDF storage board that’s just 1" x 6" x 37"

Deluxe Trammel System
The three beams that form the backbone of the system are milled from aircraft-grade aluminum, anodized for protection and laser engraved with both inch and metric scales accurate to .004" over the entire graduated length. They come in 12", 24" and 36" lengths. Two adjustable clamps slide onto the beam. Each has a hairline indicator to mark its position on the scale of the beam. Once the clamps are locked on the beam, the following attachments thread into the clamps to match your lay out or measuring job.
Stainless Steel Pins - Machined to a fine point, the pins serve as the axis point for drawing arcs and for marking the arc if you want a physical scribe line rather than a pencil mark.
Pencil Mounts & Mechanical Pencil - If your project calls for a pencil line, our special mechanical pencil threads into one of two pencil mounts, one adds a perfect one inch to the measurement scale and one adds 20mm. You’re covered no matter which measurement system you prefer.
Edge Guides - With an Edge Guide installed your Trammel System becomes a marking gauge with a reach of up to three feet.
Corner Guides - The pair of Corner Guides drop over opposing corners of a box or drawer to enable you to check diagonal measurements…an easy and accurate way to confirm your assembly is square. Lay out arcs from the corner of a board easily by using one Corner Guide and the pencil or scribe on the other end. (Ever get that done accurately with a traditional compass?)
Centering Cones - Accurately measure center-to-center distance between two holes with the Centering Cones. Or, if you need an arc centered around an existing hole, use one Centering Cone as your axis.
All components of the Deluxe Trammel System are machined from either aircraft-grade aluminum or top-quality stainless steel on our state-of-the-art CNC mills and lathes.
Like all Woodpeckers OneTIME Tools®, the Deluxe Trammel System is only made to order, precisely machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio factory. The deadline to order yours is Monday, August 5, 2019. Once orders are filled, this tool will be retired from our product line. Delivery is scheduled for January 2020.
