Osage Orange Lumber Packs
We’ve selected premium samples of Osage Orange for these special lumber packs. Each pack consists of boards that are 3” to 10” wide, 36″-48″ long, and surfaced to 15/16”. The 10 Board Foot Packs tend to consist of 48″ boards, while the Project Packs are 6½ board feet and typically 36″ boards. Sizes may vary.

Osage Orange (Maclura pomifera), also known as Hedge Apple, is native to South-Central United States. Its heartwood is golden to bright yellow, which inevitably ages to a darker medium brown with time: primarily due to exposure to ultraviolet light. The grain is straight with a fine to medium texture. Osage Orange is also extremely durable, being considered to be one of the most decay resistant woods in North America. While it’s hard, dense and often difficult to work, its reported to have little dulling effect on cutting edges. It turns, stains, glues, and finishes well.
