OneTIME Tool - Model 640 and 850 Ultimate Woodworking Squares - 2013- Retired September 16, 2013
Made Square to Stay Square . . . Forever.
You'll never question the reliability of our Model 640 and 850 Squares. Designed for woodworking, they deliver the precision woodworkers demand and offer features not found on most other squares. It's made dead-nuts square in a way that never allows it to get out of square. Beyond the extreme accuracy, these squares offer weight, balance and ease of handling that woodworkers need.
Uncompromised quality. There are no shortcuts taken in making these squares. Each one is machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum on extremely precise, state-of–the-art CNC machinery. In the process, up to 90% of the block is milled away to produce a complete, one-piece square requiring absolutely no assembly, thus eliminating the potential for error. It's a costly process but, simply put, it is the best possible way to make a square.
A dream to use. These squares are stout, yet light weight and offer superb balance. The blade is 7/32” thick and the base is a full 3/4” thick. The inside edge of the base features a shoulder to allow the blade to lay flat on the work piece so you can accurately mark either edge of the blade. Unlike many squares, there's no need to tilt the square to reference the base edge against the work. The extra-thick base makes it easy to stand upright to check your table saw blade, jointer fences and other machinery.
Back by popular demand with improved design. The 640 Square was one of our first OneTime Tools. Over the years, we've had many requests to bring it back but were reluctant due to substantial material and machining costs. Now, we're offering it again with even better balance and in two sizes, the original 6” x 4” and a new 8” x 5” with either inch or metric scales and even an optional wall mountable wooden case.
Like all Woodpeckers OneTime Tools, the new Model 640 and 850 Squares are only made to order in our own shop just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Deadline to order yours is Monday September 16th, 2013 and are expected to ship in late January 2014. You will not be charged until your order is ready to ship (except Paypal).
