Peroba Rosa, Aspidosperma polyneuron, is native to Brazil and Argentina. The color of its heartwood ranges from yellow to pinkish red, sometimes with darker streaks of purple or brown. Its color tends to darken with age. Overall, it’s easy to work along with gluing and finishing well. These slabs are kiln-dried and thickness planed. We have taken the pictures after wiping on some water to show off the grain pattern of the slab. The slabs were measured from the center of the board in both width and length. Keep in mind that these are one-of-a-kind pieces. Wood is a natural product, and pieces may have checks or other inconsistencies. These are not considered defects. Thickness +/-1/8”
