Experience the Legendary Appeal of Korina

Add iconic heritage to your shop with our premium Limba 8/4 Hardwood Lumber Pack. Scientifically known as Terminalia superba and historically popularized under the name Korina, this West African native is highly celebrated in both fine furniture making and the music industry. Whether your pack features the clean, warm, straw-colored hues of White Limba or the highly sought-after, dramatic dark brown-to-black streaks of Black Limba, every single board offers unmistakable exotic character.

Precision Milled and Ready to Build

Skip the heavy flattening work. Every board in this project pack is carefully run through our mill and surfaced/planed down to a rock-solid 1-13/16 inch thickness. This ensures you get flat, stable faces that show off the wood's natural, moderate luster and uniform, close-grained texture right out of the box.

Sold in convenient hobbyist quantities, each pack ships with 2 to 3 boards, guaranteeing a minimum of 6.5 board feet. Ranging from 4 to 7 inches wide and 36 to 48 inches long, these dimensions are optimized for high-value items like custom electric guitar bodies, instrument necks, architectural accents, fine cabinetry, and bespoke shelving.

Supreme Workability & Resonant Performance

Limba is an absolute pleasure to work with. It features a relatively low-to-medium density that makes it easy on hand tools and saw blades alike. It glues flawlessly, fastens securely, and takes stains and clear finishes beautifully. Beyond its physical ease of use, it is structurally incredibly stable and possesses magnificent acoustic tonewood properties—delivering a warm, articulate, and well-balanced tone that has made it a staple of boutique instrument builders for decades.

Note: While Limba finishes easily, it is a porous hardwood. For an ultra-smooth, glass-like tabletop or instrument face, we highly recommend using a clear grain filler before applying your final topcoat.

Due to international shipping restrictions, we can only ship this product in the United States.
