Router Bit Vise

Handling router bits can be dangerous, especially with today's incredibly sharp carbide edges. It's particularly challenging when you need enough leverage to change a bearing, clean, or swap one of those razor-sharp carbide inserts to a fresh edge. This router bit vise provides a rock-solid grip on the router bit while you leverage the large aluminum frame. The holes are sized for standard shank sizes in both inch and metric and feature retainer pins in the sidewall that only spin in one direction. To remove a bearing, simply place the router bit in the correct hole on the side marked "Loose" and unscrew the bearing nut. When you're ready to tighten the nut, flip the vise over and use the same hole. After you're done, the rare earth magnets in the vise lets you stick the vise to your router table or any other metal surface for convenient storage.
