Also known as Araracanga or Malerio Colorado, Guatemalan Cherry (Aspidosperma megalocarpon) has a heartwood that ranges from golden yellow to reddish brown hues, sometimes with violet and pinkish streaks. It’s a close relative to Peroba Rosa (Aspidosperma polyneuron), but Guatemalan Cherry is slightly more strong and more durable. Overall, it’s easy to work and it glues and finishes well.
Wood is a natural product, and pieces may vary slightly. Due to wood movement, shrinkage, and expansion, please measure each piece carefully. Dimensioned within +/-1/8” of size listed.
