Curly Maple Baseball Bat Blanks
Highly figured maple is tough to come by. We found a quality source of doweled 2-3/4” x 36” blanks. We call them baseball bat blanks, but they work equally well as leg stock and other turnings such as mallets. These are not pro bat blanks, strictly for trophies, or for hobbyist turners. The blanks have been kiln-dried. They may not be perfectly round, with some tear-out from the doweling process. Maple (Acer saccharum) is native to most Northeastern USA. Wood is a natural product, and pieces may vary slightly. Due to wood movement, shrinkage, and expansion, please measure each piece carefully.
