Cocobolo Turning Blanks
Cocobolo (Dalberga retusa) is one of the most sought after species for turners. Cocobolo’s colors range from yellow, orange, red, and shades of brown with streaks of black or purple. Sapwood is typically a very pale yellow. Pen turners are notorious for wanting to try new and exotic woods for their pens, pencils and other small project kits. The challenge has been accessibility. We have sourced a wide variety of sizes of this most popular species.

Cocobolo is a sensitizer and can cause skin, eye and respiratory irritation. We recommend wearing dust masks while working with this species.
Wood is a natural product, and pieces may vary slightly. Due to wood movement, shrinkage and expansion, please measure each piece carefully. The thin stock is surfaced on two sides and dimensioned within +/-1/8” of size listed.
