African Mahogany
African Mahogany (Khaya spp.) is native to Tropical West Africa. Although very close in appearance and workability, don’t confuse it with South American Mahogany that is restricted in its harvesting and importing/exporting. Thus this beautiful species is less expensive and readily available. Ranging in color from a very pale pink to a deeper reddish-brown. Color tends to darken with age. The wood saws well and glues and finishes easily. The thin stock lumber is perfect for small projects such as boxes, picture frames, cutting boards etc.
Due to international shipping restrictions, we can only ship this product in the United States.
