Joinery Sled
If you're frustrated by spending your shop time building jigs instead of finishing projects, Woodpeckers new Joinery Sled is just what you need. With a wide range of adjustment and clamping options, the Joinery Sled adapts to projects both large and small; simple and complicated. It can keep things square, or adjust to angles not possible with other accessories. It has silky-smooth micro-adjustment to dial in exactly where you want the cut to take place. And, the patented leaf spring miter bar works with any miter gauge slot that is nominally 3/8" thick and 3/4" wide. Perhaps best of all, it isn't just a table saw jig and it isn't just a router table jig. It goes where it is needed, and performs flawlessly with both.
Faster, More Accurate Joinery on Both Your Table Saw and Router Table
The versatility of the Joinery Sled begins with its base plate. With 5-1/2" of adjustment in the base itself, the Joinery Sled fits almost any size table saw or router table. On top of that, the two-piece upper adjustable base has an additional 3-1/2" of travel. Leveling feet on the bottom of the adjustable base prevent racking even when your project uses all of the 9" of extension.
When you get close, the bearing-guided micro-adjuster lets you tweak your settings for perfect fitting joints. The 4 bearings mounted in the base maintain alignment of the adjustable base and allow the lead screw to move the work table a few thousandths at a time with fingertip control.
While most joinery will need the table locked 90° to the base, we mounted the table to a quadrant that allows you to lock the table at any angle from 44° to 91°. In our shop testing, we found long miter angles…such as 67-1/2° for a flag display box…to be easier and safer using the Joinery Sled than any other method we've tried.
We milled 3 track-clamp grooves in the clamping table to give you flexibility in adjusting the fence and clamping your material. The fence mounts on either end of the table and sets at almost any angle. We include a pair of our pivot clamps, but standard track clamps fit perfectly in the grooves and handle thick stock and repetitive work better. We included a sacrificial face for the fence to support your material as the blade or bit exits. You can make replacements from any 1/2" material or get them from us.
Your Joinery Sled comes complete with a pair of pivot clamps and one sacrificial fence. We've also included a wall-mountable Rack-It to keep your Joinery Sled right in plain sight and ready to go to work. Additional pivot clamps, track clamps, and 3-packs of sacrificial fences are available separately.
Like all Woodpeckers products, the Joinery Sled is precisely machined and carefully inspected right here in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility just south of Cleveland.
