Woodpeckers Coping Sled

The Woodpeckers Coping Sled holds your work perpendicular to the router fence and guides it smoothly through the router bit. Your work is secured two ways. First, an adjustable plate traps the board against the fence. The slotted top plate adjusts to any material width up to 5-1/2". Trapped between the adjustable plate and the fence, the stock simply cannot rotate when it engages the router bit. That's half the battle in creating a perfect fitting cope and stick joint.
The other half of the battle involves holding the material down. Our Coping Sled uses a pair of clamps to hold the material to the sled base. A quick twist on both knobs makes sure the piece won't flutter up and down in the middle of the cut. No need to crank down hard on the clamps…since we also have the adjustable plate preventing rotation.
Cabinet Doors Have Never Been Easier!
The clamps ride on a bar that you can adjust so the clamps are centered on the workpiece. The knobs that lock the clamping bar in place serve double-duty as your handles for moving the sled. Since they locate the clamping bar, the handles are always directly above the clamping force and well away from the router bit.
One feature you might overlook with just a quick glance at the picture is that the Coping Sled doesn't use the miter slot…in fact you don't even need one. An acrylic fence adjusts to the router table fence, eliminating the need to make everything square to the miter slot…just align to the fence and start cutting.
Like all Woodpeckers products, the Coping Sled is precisely machined and carefully inspected right here in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility just south of Cleveland.
