Cal-ZILLA
Cal-ZILLA adds another great feature to Woodpeckers Woodworking Rules. The size, shape and engraving accuracy of the Woodworking Rules have made them a customer favorite for decades. Cal-ZILLA expands their versatility by adding a set of caliper jaws with just 2 simple machine screws. Mounted on a 49-1/2" Woodworking Rule, your Cal-ZILLA eliminates the guesswork about start and stop points of your measurements up to 46"…inside or outside.
The threaded holes to mount the fixed jaw of Cal-ZILLA are already machined into every Woodpeckers Woodworking Rule, new or old (except the 6" models). They're the same ones used to mount the Hook Stop. Their location relative to the end of the rule is held to a very tight tolerance, which locates the fixed jaw precisely at the zero point of the rule.
Fits 12" to 49-1/2" Woodpeckers Woodworking Rules
The sliding jaw rides across the top of the rule on low-friction UHMW glide strips. The locking mechanism contact point is machined from Delrin to lock securely, but not mar the anodized aluminum of the rule. While Cal-ZILLA fits all Woodpeckers Woodworking Rules, the one in the bundled package is graduated with metric measurements on one edge and inches on the other, both starting from the same end.
Cal-ZILLA's inside measuring tips match the outside jaws precisely. Measure a stopped groove and have the perfect feeler gauge to check the length of the tongue you create on the joining piece.
Included with Cal-ZILLA, you get the Hole Center Attachments. Clamp these on the tips of Cal-ZILLA's jaws and you can measure the precise distance between any two holes center-to-center.
You also get a wall-mountable Rack-It to keep your Cal-ZILLA right in plain sight and always ready for work.
Like all Woodpeckers products, Cal-ZILLA is precisely machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility (just south of Cleveland).
