Wheel Marking Gauge w/ Micro-Adjust
Woodpeckers new Wheel Marking Gauge streamlines that critical first step in any hand tool joinery project…precise layout. A razor-sharp, ultra-thin circular blade slices wood fibers cleanly, leaving behind a clearly visible line that is less than 1/5 the width of typical mechanical pencils. Not only is the line crisper, but since it is a cut (instead of merely a mark), it provides physical registration for your chisel or saw. A stainless steel reference plate (more than double the size of the reference surface of any similar marking gauge) keeps you solidly on track as you work. And a fine-threaded micro-adjust mechanism makes controlling the plate-to-blade dimension effortless. You won't find this combination of features in any other marking gauge on the market.

Razor-sharp round knife
Unlike marking gauges that use a traditional knife or scratch awl, our round knife leaves exactly the same cut regardless of the angle at which you grab the tool. You can even roll the gauge around the edge of your board and continue lines perfectly. The blade's thin profile leaves a sharp, crisp line that's easy to follow.
Two-Position Extended Reference Plate
The reference plate has two mounting positions. The standard provides maximum support along the edge being marked. Rotate the plate 90° for better vertical support, like you might need when marking the end of a very narrow piece.
Micro-Adjustment
Lock the rear knob and rotate the knurled stainless steel adjustment barrel to move the fence 1/16" per full revolution. Moving the barrel from high-noon to 1:30 moves the blade less than the thickness of 2 sheets of copier paper.
