Solid Carbide Compact Compression Pattern and Mortising Trim Router Bit, 2+2 Flute, 1/4" Shank
You've probably seen compression pattern bits, but the ones you've seen until now are all 1/2" shank, which means you can't use them in convenient (and economical), smaller routers. The new Ultra-Shear Solid Carbide Compact Compression Pattern and Mortising Bit is a true 100% solid carbide bit with perfect concentricity. It's 1/4" shank so you can use it in the trim or standard router of your choice. And, at 1/2" cutting diameter with 1" cut length, it’ll tackle tight radius template projects that others can’t. To add even more versatility, we made the Up-Cut section just 1/8" long and ground the end specifically for plunging, making this bit ideal for dadoes, grooves, rabbets and mortises.

American Made Quality at Factory Direct Prices
The short Up-Cut means you can mill dadoes and grooves just 3/16" deep and have the Down-Cut section engaged at the surface, ensuring a clean, crisp shoulder. The plunge tip cuts quickly and exits cleanly.
