SERX Straight Edge Rule
Making critical checks and adjustments on woodworking machinery is tough enough without fumbling with your reference tools. Here’s a straight edge that stands on its own while you check it with a feeler gauge or flashlight. Woodpeckers SERX Straight Edge Rules feature an inverted vee-groove profile in one edge. The vee-groove creates a set of legs for the SERX to stand on and clearly reveals any humps or dips in a machine surface. It’s perfect for checking your table saw for flatness, making sure your jointer tables are parallel, setting up your router table and any other machinery alignment job you might face. When you’re not using it for machinery set up, the SERX also serves as a top-quality layout tool. The edge is beveled to bring the graduations right down next to the surface of your work.
Freestanding Straight Edge Reference Simplifies Machinery Adjustment
The unique vee-groove profile on the base edge of the SERX gives your tool a solid footing, while maintaining a clear view of any high or low spots in the surface. Machined to a tolerance of .0015" per foot, they're perfect for checking your table saw for flatness, making sure your jointer tables are parallel, setting up your router table and any other machinery alignment job you might face.
While the base of the SERX makes it a great tool for checking machinery, we didn’t stop there. We laser engrave a bright white bar along the bottom edge that highlights low spots. The graduated edge is beveled at 30° to get the markings right down next to your material. The major fractions are called out and the full inches are highlighted, making this a very easy scale to read. We hold the engraving to a tolerance of ±.004" total accumulated error over the full length of the scale. That’s about 1/10 the width of a really sharp pencil mark…spread out over the entire length of the SERX.
Like all Woodpeckers products, the SERX Straight Edge Rules are precisely machined and carefully inspected right here in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility just south of Cleveland.
