Polycarbonate Mallet Clear or Black w/Rack-It
Woodpeckers NEW Polycarbonate Mallets incorporate the same thermoplastic used to protect fighter jet pilots since the 1960s. On impact, polycarbonate deforms slightly without shattering, making it more forgiving than a metal hammer – but without the bounce of a urethane or rubber mallet.
The density of polycarbonate packs a lot of punch into a compact head. The tool balances comfortably in your hand, making it easy to place each strike precisely where you want it.
We machine the heads in both clear and black polycarbonate – your choice. Performance is identical. The handles are turned from aircraft-grade aluminum and powder-coated in our signature "Woodpeckers Red".
Built to Perform for Generations to Come
The head and handle are joined together with a ribbed steel tenon that extends nearly the length of the tool. The result is a mallet that feels solid and performs exactly as you would expect from the name on the handle.
Good looks and solid feel are only part of the story. Polycarbonate's resilience stands up to repeated strikes. Short of a sharp metal object, not much can leave a dent – or even a mark on the head. And if you're denting your material with this mallet…your joint doesn't fit.
Like all Woodpeckers products, the Polycarbonate Mallets are precisely machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility (just south of Cleveland).
