New MT Mortise & Tenon Templates

Perfect fitting mortise and tenons the first time, everytime. 

A single template that makes setup time fast and easy. The MT Templates mate with the Tenon Template Holder. Simply guide the bearing of the new MT Stylus around the outside perimeter of the MT Template to create your tenon using a 1/2” router bit. Set up for your mortise in mere seconds by flipping the stylus around, and inserting the reduced pin into the slot on the MT Template. Slide the horizontal table left and right, and lock your stop collars in place to limit the travel to create a mortise that exactly matches the width of your tenon. 

By having a template to set the exact width for your mortise, there’s no more measuring, marking, or guess work and… no more test cuts. Saving you time, and increasing your efficiency by creating a perfect mating mortise, the first time, every time. 

One MT Template is all you need with the improvements we made to our new stylus’. The MT Stylus is designed to work with router bits that are exactly on dimension to create a perfect fitting tenon for your mortise. However, now with the new Variable Stylus, you can adjust the fit of the joint even if your router or bit have some runout or the bit has been resharpened. 

The Variable Stylus includes four interchangeable brass bearings that increase the overall size of the tenon in increments of .005, .010, .015, or .020 thousandths of an inch. No matter what obstacles you need to overcome such as a bad collet, dirt in your routers taper, or a poorly ground router bit… the Variable Stylus gives you the adjustability you need to create the best sized tenon for your mortise. And best of all, like with all Multi-Router templates and styluses, your joint is instantly repeatable no matter how many times you want to switch back and forth between tenons and mortises. 

We also expanded the number of mortise and tenons you can create from fifteen to twenty-six. Including full sets of 1/4”, 5/16”, 3/8” and 1/2” templates ranging in widths as small as 3/4” all the way up to 3”, depending on the thickness. 

These new MT Templates do require the new MT Stylus, which is sold separately, but if you order a new Multi-Router from us, the MT stylus will come included with your machine. The MT Stylus is compatible with all legacy Multi-Router templates including both old and new style tenon templates. The Variable Stylus is only compatible with old or new style tenon templates, and is not designed for use with box joint, dovetail, or round tenon templates. 

Like all Woodpeckers Products, the Multi-Router and all additional accessories are precisely machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio, manufacturing facility (just south of Cleveland).
