Inspection Square
The first time you pick up Woodpeckers new Stainless Steel Inspection Square you'll notice the heft. This is a square with substance. Look closely and you'll see why. Unlike most squares, the core of the handle and the blade are one continuous piece of precisely milled stainless steel. "Square" has been established by a state-of-the-art CNC mill…not 4 rivets and a prayer.
Stainless steel scales form the handle – joined to that one-piece core with precisely located stainless steel pins. Once assembled, your Inspection Square is guaranteed to be within ±0.001" of square over the 6" length of the blade – about one-third the thickness of a human hair. This square should be the benchmark by which all others in your shop are judged.
All Stainless Construction and Beveled Edges Take this Square to Another Level
The edges of the blade are beveled to improve visibility between the blade and your material – while leaving most of the blade a full 1/8" thick. The beveled edge also makes layout easier, getting your pencil or marking knife right to the edge without any gymnastics. The blade goes through a multi-step finishing process that produces a non-glare satin finish for even better visibility.
Your Stainless Steel Inspection Square includes a wall-mountable Rack-It to keep it right in plain sight and always ready to go to work. Like all Woodpeckers tools, the Inspection Square is precisely machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility just south of Cleveland.
