Details

CNC Ball Nose Set:  The 703 Ball Nose Set is designed for small CNC machines.  This group contains three ¼” shank bits consisting of two Ball Nose Spirals and one Conical Ball Nose Spiral.  Contain:  SC66, RU2075RN and RU1800RN

The SC66 tapered ball nose CNC bit performs better by using a shearing action leaving smoother cuts in your project.  Used for lettering, carving and any detailed projects.  1/16” radius and 7° angle.

Ball Nose Spirals leave a rounded bottom during cutting while still providing a better shear cutting angle like their standard spiral counterparts. These are mainly used with small CNC's but can be used in a router or router table. The up-cut flute design pulls chips up and away from the work piece.  RU2075RN has 1/4” cutting diameter and ¾” cutting length.  RU1800RN has 3/16” cutting diameter and ¾” cutting length.

CNC Starter Set:  The 705 Starter Set is a great asset for small CNC owners who are just learning how to use their machine. Even experienced CNC machinists will appreciate the selection of bits in this set. This group contains five 1/4" bits including two Conical Ball Nose Spirals, an Up-Cut Spiral, and two V-Groove bits. Perfect for 2D and 3D Carving.  Contains: SC64, SC66, RU2075, 1502, and 1550.

The tapered ball nose CNC bit performs better by using a shearing action leaving smoother cuts in your project.  Used for lettering, carving and any detailed projects.  SC64 has 1/32” radius and 11° angle.  The SC66 has 1/16” radius and 7° angle.

Spiral bits provide a shear cutting edge that leaves a smoother cut than standard router bits. Up cut spiral design provides the best control even with hand or table routing.  When creating dado's this design brings chips up and out of the cut.  RU2075 has ¼” cutting diameter and ¾” cutting length.

V-Groove bits are used for a variety of projects where a standard v-point cut is desired. V-Groove bits are available in 60 and 90-degree tips.  1502 has a ½” cutting diameter, ¼” cutting length and 90° V-Groove.  1550 has a ½” cutting diameter, 7/16” cutting length and 60° V-Groove.

CNC Lettering Set:  The 706 Lettering Set contains six bits including a Pointed Roundover, Plunge Roundover, 60° V-Groove, a Cove Nose Spiral, and two sizes of Round Nose bits. Create a wide variety of letters, signs, and decorative artwork with these bits. Perfect for 2D and 3D Carving on small CNC machines.  Contains: 1403, 1404, 1550, 1572, 2051, and RU2075CN.

Round Nose bits are a basic curved bit often used for sign making. The round nose is perfect for cutting round grooves in any project without leaving square corners.  1403 has 3/16” radius and 3/8” cutting depth.  1404 has ¼” radius and ½” cutting depth.

V-Groove bits are used for a variety of projects where a standard v-point cut is desired. V-Groove bits are available in 60 and 90-degree tips.  1550 has a ½” cutting diameter, 7/16” cutting length and 60° V-Groove.

Unlike some tools, the tip of this bit is a part of the cutting edge. These Point Cutting Roundovers give your workpiece the vee shape of a V-Groove but with a rounded top edge. Designed for decorative trimming and lettering.  1572 has ¼” radius, ½” cutting diameter and ½” cutting length.

Plunge Roundovers can cut a flat bottom while providing that traditional roundover edge. Small Grooving Bits such as the Plunge Roundover are commonly used for decorative designs in cabinet doors or for detail veining in furniture. Round Nose Bits and V-Groove Bits are often used in the same manner. The larger Grooving Bits are great for a raised panel effect in doors and for adding a bold accent to furniture or large work pieces. These bits can also make nice edge profiles with the aid of a router table and fence.  2051 has 3/16” radius and 3/8” cutting length.

Cove Nose Spirals leave a flat bottom with curved edges during cutting while still providing the best shear cutting angle of their spiral counterparts.  These are mainly used with small CNC's but can be used in a router or router table. The up-cut flute design pulls chips up and away from the workpiece.  RU2075CN has ¼” cutting diameter and ¾” cutting length.

CNC Engraving Set:  The 708 Engraving Set is designed for small CNC hobbyists. This set contains eight 1/4" Engraving bits with an included angle ranging from 15° to 90°. All types of projects will appear visually stunning with the many engraving options that exist from this one kit. Perfect for 2D and 3D Carving.  Contains: SC54, SC55, SC70, SC71, SC75, SC76, 1541, and 1500.

The 15° Engraving bits are great tools for making steep cuts with a flat bottom for 2D and 3D carving.  The SC54 has a 1/16” flat point.  The SC55 has a 3/32” x 45° point.

The 30° Engraving bits are great tools for making steep cuts with a pencil point bottom for 2D and 3D carving.  The SC70 has a 30° pencil point.  The SC71 has a 1/32” flat point.

The 45° Engraving bits are also available in pencil point and flat bottom.  The SC75 has a 45° pencil point.  The SC76 has a 1/32” flat point.

V-groove bits are used for a variety of projects where a standard V-point cut is desired.  The 1541 has a 60° cut with ¼” cutting diameter and 7/32” cutting length.  The 1500  has a 90° cut with a ¼” cutting diameter and 1/8” cutting length.

Whiteside Machine Company began manufacturing router bits for the thriving furniture industry that existed in Hickory, NC.  Through word of mouth, hard work and a focus on quality, their product line evolved and expanded to supply businesses and hobbyists throughout the United States.  Made from high quality steel and tipped with micro-grain carbide, their years of experience provides you a full line of router bits for your workshop.  Still family owned and operated.
