We’ve selected premium samples of Purpleheart for this special Project Pack offer. Each pack contains a minimum of 5 boards and 6-1/2 board feet. Boards vary between 3” to 6” wide and between 3’ to 4’ long—all are surfaced to 15/16”.

Purpleheart (Peltogyne spp) is native to South America and prized for its beautiful, rich-purple heartwood. It is a dense wood that is perfect for every project from musical instruments and turning to box making and furniture. The grain is usually very straight and it takes a great finish. Lacquer is recommended with a UV inhibitor to keep the rich purple color.
Wood is a natural product, and pieces may vary slightly. Due to wood movement, shrinkage and expansion, please measure each piece carefully. The thin stock is surfaced on four sides and dimensioned within +/-1/8” of size listed.
