Ebiara, Berlinia spp., also known as Red Zebrawood, is native to West Africa. Closely related to Zebrawood, it’s heartwood ranges from a golden, yellow brown to a deeper reddish brown, frequently with dark black streaks and stripes. It’s frequently used in cabinetry, furniture, and musical instruments. Ebiara is generally easy to work with hand or machine tools and it glues, turns, and finishes well.
