Argentine Lignum Vitae Turning Blanks
Lignum vitae (Bulnesia spp.) is one of the heaviest and hardest woods in the world. Many people have heard of Genuine Lignum vitae (Guaiacum officinale) but this Argentine Lignum vitae (Bulnesia sarmientoi) is an excellent alternative, especially for wood turning. The unique feather grain pattern and fragrant herbal smell are as unique as the fact that when exposed to direct sunlight Argentine Lignum vitae will turn from pale yellow to a beautiful olive to emerald green. This species is currently listed on the CITES Appendix II list of endangered species and is restricted to import without special permits.

Wood is a natural product, and pieces may vary slightly. Due to wood movement, shrinkage and expansion, please measure each piece carefully. The stock is surfaced on two sides and dimensioned within +/-1/8” of size listed.
