  1. Woodpeckers Slab Flattening Mill
The hottest trend in interior design these days is live edge slab table tops. And, why not? The natural curves of the trunk give an organic feel. The crazy grain patterns in crotches and burls are eye-catching.  Even cracks that would have sent lumber to the burn pile just a few years ago are being controlled and enhanced with butterfly patches and epoxy inlays. However, slabs present some challenges in the shop. Overall width and weird grain changes make the use of a jointer and thickness planer impractical if not impossible. Woodpeckers new Slab Flattening Mill makes it simple to use your router to flatten and thickness slabs right in your own shop faster and easier than you ever thought possible.

  2. woodworking adjustable track square

The modern track saw has taken the market by storm. It puts industrial table saw accuracy in the field for remodelers and trim carpenters, and for the garage and basement woodworker, it cuts the shop space required to handle sheet goods in half (compared to a table saw). The concept is simple…put the guide rail on your workpiece, drop the track saw on the guide rail, and a straight cut is guaranteed. But, “straight” isn’t enough. Cuts typically need to be parallel to an existing edge, perpendicular to an existing edge, or at a specific angle. We took care of “parallel” last year when we released the Parallel Guide System. Now we have “perpendicular” (and nearly every other angle) under control with the Adjustable Track Square. The Adjustable Track Square mounts to your Festool, Makita, or Triton guide rail in seconds. Once it’s mounted you have locked-in accuracy for square cuts and cuts at any angle up to 60°.

  3. 2096 WORKHOLDING KIT

If you agree that the simplest solution is usually the correct solution, you’ll love Woodpeckers 2096 Workholding Kit. Few things are simpler than two opposing wedges, and that’s one of the principles behind this kit. With one wedge fixed, the opposing wedge can apply amazing gripping strength with the tiniest application of pressure. When you’re done and ready for the next piece, a simple tap on the narrow end of the floating wedge and it’s free. Another simple approach is a bench stop or “dog” with a fixed height…no springs, no clamps, just a shoulder that keeps it in place. The kit has a gaggle of them. “2096” refers to the spacing on Festool MFT tables…20mm holes machined on 96mm centers. We designed the kit around the MFT, but if you don’t have one, don’t worry. With Woodpeckers Hole Boring Jig (sold separately) you can make your own table tops with the exact same spacing pattern and hole size. Learn More

  5. African Mahogany Thin Stock Lumber

African Mahogany (Khaya spp.) is native to Tropical West Africa. Thus this beautiful species is less expensive and readily available. Ranging in color from a very pale pink to a deeper reddish-brown. Color tends to darken with age. The wood saws well and glues and finishes easily. The thin stock lumber is perfect for small projects such as boxes, picture frames, cutting boards etc.

Woodworking Accessories

We’ve done most of the shopping for you! Running a woodworking shop takes a lot of tools, accessories and…let’s face it…gadgets. Our Woodworking Accessories section features stuff that we use ourselves, both in the Woodpeckers shop and each of our own home shops. We’re particularly fond of Wera wrenches and screwdrivers. We’ve sold Uncle Earl’s soap products since we opened our doors. When we’re not working on a Sjobergs workbench you’ll find us using a Bora Centipede. And, of course we’ve been using and selling Incra woodworking products for over 20 years
