Incra Jig WonderFence Ultra Edition

The WonderFENCE Ultra Edition is a replacement fence for standard Incra Jig Ultra Systems. It replaces the standard joinery fence.

With this upgrade, you’re able to not only maintain all dovetail and box joint capacities, but also to add virtually any shaping and edge-forming operation.This fence actually consists of two separate fences, both of which are compatible with the Right Angle Fixture and any of the Incra Stops. The PRO-2 Joinery Fence is the main fence. It is what you use when doing dovetail and box joint joinery.The second fence is the split fence sections attached to the front of the PRO-2 Joinery Fence. These two fences are independently adjustable for offset and can be separated enough for the largest raised panel bits.The Hi-Rise Support is also included for stabilizing tall work pieces.If you’re wondering about the differences in mounting a standard WonderFENCE or the WonderFENCE Ultra Edition, here is a brief explanation.Although both types of WonderFENCEs can be attached directly to the Incra Jig Ultra, attaching the WonderFENCE Ultra Edition makes more sense for a number of reasons.First, by replacing the original 1” thick joinery fence with the 5” thick standard WonderFENCE, one looses about 4” of joint making capacity. During joinery, the front split halves of the WonderFENCE have to stay on to guide the Right Angle Fixture and support the stop.In contrast, the Ultra Edition uses a different main fence, which like the original joinery fence, is compatible with both the Right Angle Fixture and the Incra Stop. Therefore, when making joints with the Ultra Edition, one would remove the split-fence halves, then use the main fence to guide and position the Right Angle Fixture and Incra Stop.

Sounds confusing, but it really isn’t. All else being equal, when attached to the Incra Jig Ultra, the standard WonderFENCE requires 5” more table length to cover the same range available when using the WonderFENCE Ultra Edition.
