Carpenter Triangle

Like a regular triangle, this high quality carpenter triangle can be used for marking lines perpendicular to an edge, but that's where the similarities end.
Unlike an open square, a carpenter triangle always sits flat on the material ensuring a solid contact between its foot and the edge of the material as well as between the face of the tool and the surface of the wood. This trait helps you draw more accurate lines because your pencil is less likely to slip under the far end of the measuring tool.
A carpenter triangle can also stand up on its own, there by making it ideal for assembly work where a vertical cabinet or furniture part has to be perpendicular to the horizontal surface.
And if that's not enough, this triangle has a 45 degree leg allowing you to not only accurately mark your miters before they're cut, but also serve as a tremendous inspection tool to ensure an accurate miter in the first place.

Like all precision Woodpecker measuring and layout tools, the carpenter triangle body is machined from a single, solid piece of aircraft grade aluminum, anodized for durability with laser engraved inch scale markings. The 12” Carpenter Triangle is ideally suited for work with solid lumber and furniture projects, and the larger 18” model is particularly useful for use with larger sheet good and cabinet projects. |
