RULE STOP COMBINATIONS
Adding a rule stop to a rule is the easiest way to ensure consistent marks when laying out a project. A big part of making undistorted cabinetry and furniture depends on consistent measurement and marking.
Woodpeckers Woodworking Rules deliver on the measuring part and the Rule Stops take care of the consistency part. Normally one would extend the rule beyond the edge of the stop whatever distance the marks need to be from the board edge. The engraved scale on the rule is used for setting the stop the desired amount.
Once the stop is secure, you can repeatedly hook the rule to the board edge and make as many marks as needed. Each one will be exactly the same distance from the edge.
It's quite simple and a big help when building furniture.
Woodpeckers manufactures both the rules and stops in house. They're made from aircraft grade aluminum, anodized for protection and in the case of the rule, laser engraved with inch markings. One side of the rule has a scale from zero, the opposite edge has a centering scale with zero in the middle.
The knob, screw and posts of the stop are stainless steel. All made in the U.S.A.
