Router Offset Base

One small tip of your router and that beautiful piece of furniture you've spent countless hours on is rendered amateur status. Think about, when holding your router for a straight edge cut, you have less than 50% contact between the base and the work piece. Go around a corner and that'll drop to less than 25%. That means ¾ of your router base is out in mid air, ready to tip and divot that beautiful piece of wood.
A simple offset base is all you need to get vastly better control of your hand held router. Woodpeckers Offset Bases are designed just for that purpose. They're machined from 3/8 thick phenolic for optimum rigidity and and low friction performance. The easy to grip handle is located 7” off the center of gravity.
The OBGB fits a standard guide bushing (Porter-Cable type) for any template or pattern type work. Comes pre-drilled and counter bored for the following routers. (Mounting screws included).
Porter-Cable 690 series, 890 series, 7529, 8529
Bosch 1617, 1618
Freud FT1700
