Plain Brass Pins

All wooden hinges made with the Incra Hinge Plans and HingeCrafter require 1/8” pins for assembly. Although steel and other metal rod can be used, we recommend solid brass to help prevent splitting. The flexing process of hinges automatically keeps the brass surface polished thus minimizing friction.

We offer both 12” and 36” solid brass pin stock which can be easily cut to length with a very fine tooth hack saw or even diagonal cutters. You may wish to smooth the ends with a file.
