36" X 24" Giant Square

Tired of dealing with framing squares that are too small or far from square? We know, we are too. Introducing Woodpeckers new 36 x 24 Giant Square.

For many years now, we have had numerous requests to make a framing square that was large enough for cabinet work, accurate enough to be trusted and resistant to deformity. We believe our Giant Square is the answer. Each square is CNC machined from ¼” thick solid phenolic. CNC machining ensures true dimensional and shape accuracy while laminated phenolic is stable and strong.

As a matter of fact, using a thousandth indicator we were unable to find any deviation from a true 90. To play it safe, we're guaranteeing a tolerance of +/- .005" from nominal across the entire length of the square. This is a big step up from stamped squares commonly found in home centers.

At 36" x 24", the Woodpeckers Giant Square is sized to eliminate the need to mark most cabinet parts from opposite edges. Making two passes from different edges often leads to dimensional errors. The long leg is 3" wide by 36" long. The short leg is 4" by 24". The three handle slots make it easy to hold and position with less risk of dropping the tool and also easy wall storage.

Each face of the square is laser engraved with inch scale markings in 1/8" increments.

Make no mistake; this is not your run of the mill framing square. The new Woodpeckers Giant Square are far more accurate, easier to read, sized for woodworkers and more damage resistant. Made in the USA.
