Dust Collection Cabinet

dust collection cabinet

Collecting dust and chips from routing operations is always a challenge. Where fence based approaches leave off, our new Dust Collection Cabinet picks up, literally. When used in conjunction with a dust collection system, this cabinet will dramatically decrease the chips that end up on your floor. Because many cuts like dado's, box joints and dovetails cover the router bit during cutting, the chips have to be caught right at the bit. That is exactly what this product is designed to do. Sized to fit all of today's routers, it is the perfect combination of compact size to maximize collection efficiency and yet large enough for wide handled plunge routers.

The Dust Collection Cabinet has been recently improved to now feature a simple way to bring power to your router. The back center wall features a plate and strain relief to allow for passing an extension cord through. Follow the router manufacturers recommendation on cord size.

The bottom funnel directs chips through a blast gate and out a 4” steel dust port. A 1 HP dust collector or larger is recommended. Shop vacs typically don't move enough air to be effective. We also do not recommend using this cabinet without a vacuum system. Air movement around the router is necessary to dissipate heat.

An easy lift off steel door makes access simple and convenient. Adjustments and bit changes on some routers require lifting router out of table first. Steel cabinet, door and blast gate. Comes with instructions and mounting hardware. Simply attach to bottom of your router table. Inside dimensions: 9-1/4 x 12-3/4 x 11 deep.
