The PSS Professional Sharpening System is made up of two main parts, the base and the stone holding carriage. The base sits stationary on your bench as does the tool you want to sharpen. Only the carriage slides back and forth on nylon rails to create a perfectly flat bevel and razor sharp edge.

Traditional sharpening systems require that a steady hand move the tool across a stationary stone. More often than not, this results in a convex bevel which makes it very difficult to achieve a razor sharp edge. With the PSS your cutting tool is stationary and the stone is moved back and forth across the bevel.

The carriage will create two different angle bevels, 25 and 30 degrees.

Two stones are included with the system, a 220 grit preparation stone and a 450 grit finishing stone. Four additional stones are available, Extra Coarse, Fine Finishing , Super Fine Finishing and 8000 grit Polishing.
